CEO
Michael Ma began his career in commodity trading with Wilmar International, rising to become the general manager of Asia for American agricultural conglomerate ADM, before leaving in 2000 to concentrate on expanding IndoChine Group. He has spent the last 24 years building up IndoChine as a well-known lifestyle brand, boasting of numerous award-winning restaurants, bars, and resort in Malaysia, Indonesia, Germany, Thailand. Even while doing his dynamic and adventurous best in keeping up with the constant competition faced in this ever-changing F&B industry, Michael remains an active and fervent environmentalist and conservationist.
24 years later, the group has significantly influenced the F&B industry in Singapore and the region and Michael’s undying passion for life in general remains a force to be reckoned with as he continues in his ventures to further expand the Group's business regionally. In addition, the group owns and operates the IndoChine Resort & Villas in Phuket, Thailand.
The group has been at the forefront of the Green environmental movement since 1999 with the inaugural launch of IndoChine Green Festival in Singapore. The Festival has been recognised and attended by numerous heads of state, politicians, business leaders, celebrities, governors and even royalties.

Director & Legal
Patrick Wee practiced law in 1989 for 10 years as a partner for Wee, Ramayah & Partners being the son of Wee Chong Jin, the first Chief Justice of Singapore.
In August 1997 he became a local partner of Ray Wilson's California Fitness Centres in Singapore before selling the company to McCown De Leeuw & Co for US$ 42 million in 1999. He then headed the business development in Asia and was appointed the Vice President and Legal Representative for California Fitness Centres in Asia, seeing to the rapid development of 1 fitness club in both Hong Kong and Singapore to 5 fitness clubs in Hong Kong, 3 in Taiwan, 2 in Singapore and 1 in Thailand.
In March 2002, Mr. Wee left California Fitness and founded Hollywood Fitness in October 2002 in Taiwan and opened a second branch in just one and a half years. He further bought over 2 California Fitness Centre clubs in South Korea and Thailand and rebranded them California Wow Experience.
In early 2005, Mr. Wee founded True Yoga in Singapore and True Fitness in 2006. Over the next 12 years, he grew the business to 14 clubs in Taiwan, 10 clubs in Singapore, 5 clubs in Malaysia, 3 clubs in Thailand and 2 clubs in China with over 150,000 members regionally and achieving an annual turnover of US$ 100 million.

Chief Creative
David began his career as one of the key launch team for both MTV Europe and MTV Asia Pacific As Executive Vice President, Viacom International, David launched multiple channels and Awards shows such as EMA's MAA's and VMAJ. David boasts over 25 years of crafting compelling events and content across digital, social, and linear platforms. He has produced over 80 live events for international television, featuring global superstars. David's expertise extends through development and production to entertainment, and music formats for broadcast and streaming. David spearheaded and ran more than twenty youth channels worldwide with a team of over 400 staff, demonstrating content and ratings supremacy.
After MTV, David launched an Event and Entertainment company delivering $18m turnover by year 2 with clients including YouTube, Canon, F1, and Toyota and artists such as Avril Lavigne. Metallica, Beyonce and Carrie Underwood.
David's talent is recognised with over 100 creative awards, including prestigious honours like Emmys and Cannes Lions. He further excels as a tenured screenwriter and recently completed a Netflix series. Throughout his career, David has brought iconic artists to screen and stage, including Lady Gaga, Beyonce, Metallica, Coldplay, and many more.

Ulf Ekberg is a Swedish musician and founding member of the pop group Ace of Base, which gained international fame in the 1990s with hits like "The Sign" and "All That She Wants." Under his creative and business acumen, the band sold over 50 million records worldwide and became one of the best-selling groups of all time. Ekberg played a significant role in the band's production and songwriting, contributing to their distinctive sound and commercial success.
Beyond his success with Ace of Base, Ekberg has been involved in various entrepreneurial ventures, including co-founding the management company Result and investing in multiple tech startups. He has also worked as a music producer for other artists and projects.

Ulf Ekberg has also made significant contributions to sustainability and environmental initiatives. He has been actively involved in projects promoting renewable energy and sustainable development. His commitment to environmental causes includes advocating for green technologies and supporting eco-friendly business practices. Ekberg's multifaceted career encompasses his roles as a musician, entrepreneur, and environmental advocate, highlighting his dedication to both the arts and the planet.

Chief Financial Officer
Sue is a highly accomplished leader with over 40 years of experience in property development, hospitality, and financial institutions across Southeast Asia and Australia. Throughout her extensive career, she has led major projects, including the redevelopment of key properties and the expansion of luxury resorts, always with a focus on sustainable growth and innovation. Sue's expertise in financial management has also been instrumental in driving the success of the ventures she oversees. Beyond her professional achievements, Sue is deeply committed to giving back to the Chinese-Laotian community, inspired by her family's journey as refugees to Australia.

Her philanthropic efforts include significant contributions to education, healthcare, and community development in Laos, reflecting her dedication to improving the lives of others. Sue is fluent in English, Mandarin, Teochew, Lao, and Thai, enabling her to navigate complex international business environments with ease. She is also a strong advocate for continuous learning and personal development, believing that these are key to success in both business and life. Currently based in Phuket, Sue continues to lead with a vision that blends business acumen with a deep sense of social responsibility. Edmund Ang boasts an impressive 18-year career in the entertainment industry, garnering recognition as an award-winning sales and marketing professional. His expertise spans international sales, sponsorship marketing, and event management, with a proven track record of success across diverse projects.

Throughout his career, Edmund has held leadership positions at renowned organisations like Hong Kong TVB, MTV China, STARZFOCUS, and the Malaysia Tourism Bureau. He has consistently delivered outstanding results, such as generating millions in sales through innovative strategies and partnerships. Notably, he co-organised the World Elite Model Look International Final, co-invested a concert project with Universal Music, and created Asia's largest music festival, LIVE & LOUD. His ability to secure significant investments for projects like GNOSSEM and the 2017 Unity Music and Arts Festival further demonstrates his entrepreneurial spirit and business acumen.

Sustainability Chief
Camilla Hall is an International business leader with a foundation in music, fun, dance, sports, and entrepreneurship, Camilla played a key role in shaping IndoChine Group's unique identity. Camilla championed a culture that bridged East and West while fostering a global community of influential figures. This spirit is evident in initiatives like the IndoChine Green Festival which transcended the group's core activities.
Partnering with Dr. Ashok Khosla and leveraging connections with celebrities like Ulf Ekberg of Ace of Base and F1 champion Nico Rosberg, Camilla initiated Club Terra Viva which aimed to create innovative platforms for tackling global challenges. From eco-conscious events on yachts in the Amazon rainforest to piggybacking on tech conferences for fundraising concerts, Camilla has consistently identified creative and cost-effective environmentally conscious solutions to achieve impactful results.

Creative & Marketing
Katia Kavak is a recent University of Technology Sydney (UTS) Comms graduate but her diverse and extensive career path already boasts experiences with renowned companies like Accenture, Meta and Great Eastern by her early 20s. As a Partner Manager at Meta, she fostered strong relationships and provided educational support to countless ANZ content creators. Her creative talents have been utilised at companies like Great Eastern and Inspiro Consulting, where she contributed to illustrations, website design, and user experience (UX)/user interface (UI) development.
Katia's global perspective stems from her experiences living in various cities, including Sydney, Bangkok, Phuket, and Singapore
